Child Policy
Well behaved Children under 16 are welcome under the supervision of a responsible adult or guardian. Children are permitted in the restaurant for the duration of a meal but we insist that for the safety of guests, other customers and staff, they must remain seated except for visits to the toilet. They must not be allowed to run around or be disruptive whilst on the premises. Children may have access to the Lounge, the Pool Room and the Toilets, but they are not permitted in the Bar. Any parent or guardian who fails to control the behaviour of their child will be asked to leave. We realise this may seem harsh but our objective is to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for our adult clientele and some parents do seem to be immune to the noise and bad behaviour of their own children. If you have any questions regarding these rules, please contact us.

1.4 The number of people occupying a room must not exceed the maximum number stated.
( Twin 2 persons, Double 2 persons, )

1.5.3 In the case of non-arrival by the Guest, the Guest shall pay to the Hotel a cancellation fee up to the full amount.
1.5.4 The Hotel shall endeavour to re-let the accommodation but failing this, the cancellation fee shall be equivalent to the total cost of the booking except where this was calculated on a discounted or package basis in which case the cancellation fee will be the normal rate multiplied by the number of nights of the booking.
1.6 The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of damage or destruction to the Hotel by fire or other causes, any shortage of labour or food supplies, or any other cause beyond the control of the Hotel which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any booking.  In such an event the Hotel will refund all or part of a deposit made but will have no further liability to the Guest.
1.7 Where the Guest gives card details to the Hotel in order to guarantee a booking or in order to make payment of a deposit then it is agreed between the parties that in the event of cancellation or non-arrival the Hotel may debit the Guest’s card with the full amount of the cancellation charge as set out in clause 1.6 less an allowance for any deposit or payment already received.

10. Access Statement
Accessibility would depend on the level of disability of a wheelchair user. Unfortunately because of the age and architecture of the building, access for a wheelchair user would be particularly difficult. Whilst we would do everything possible to accommodate the needs of anyone with a disability, all of our guest bedrooms are located on the first floor and the access to the bar, restaurant and ladies / gents toilets all involve two or more steps. Guests and Customers are advised to contact us in advance to discuss their particular requirements.

Food Allergies  --  Terms relating to Life-Threatening Nut Allergies.

We regret that we are not able to accommodate any person(s) with a serious and/or life-threatening nut or food allergy as we cannot guarantee the provenance of every item of food in our kitchen. We are happy to cater for any other dietary needs, such as gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diets, but please tell us about your particular requirements at the time of booking.

Waiver

The failure of the Hotel to enforce or exercise, at any time, or for any period of time, any term of, or any right Pursuant to this Agreement does not constitute and shall not be construed as a waiver of such term or right.
Legal Provision

The construction, validity and performance of this Agreement is governed by the law of England and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. The Guest agrees that the Contract with the Hotel is made at the Hotel’s premises and that any proceedings between the parties shall be conducted in the County Court nearest to the Hotel.
